The NJ E-Bike Law: Day 9 – 1,061 Voices and a Seat at the Table

The NJ E-Bike Law: Day 9 – 1,061 Voices and a Seat at the Table

Today’s update brings some genuinely encouraging news.

The petition opposing the current NJ e-bike law has now reached 1,061 signatures. That level of support matters, and it’s already making an impact.

Joining Forces for Real Change

Because of this momentum, I’m now joining forces with the New Jersey Bike Walk Coalition. What that means is simple but powerful: I’ve been invited to the table.

This invitation allows me to help shape corrective legislation for the New Jersey e-bike law and work directly with state lawmakers as new bills are drafted to amend the current law.

Why This Step Matters

The reality is that this law moved quickly, was poorly written, and failed to consider people who rely on e-bikes and e-trikes for independence and basic mobility.

That’s what we’re working to fix.

Advocacy isn’t just about policy language — it’s about people. The stories of riders, families, and disabled community members deserve to be heard in the room where decisions are being made.

Your Voices Are Being Heard

Every signature, message, and shared experience helped get us here. This is proof that collective action works and that showing up matters.

I’ll continue to share updates as this process moves forward and as conversations with lawmakers continue.

If you need to reach me directly, you always can through jesseserides.com.
