The NJ E-Bike Law: Day 115 – Calling All Disabled E-Bike & E-Trike Riders

The NJ E-Bike Law: Day 115 – Calling All Disabled E-Bike & E-Trike Riders

Today marks Day 115 since the New Jersey e-bike law was signed.

Advocacy is not slowing down.

Meetings continue every week. Legislators are still being contacted. National advocacy groups are still pushing for solutions. And perhaps most importantly, riders across New Jersey are continuing to share their stories.

Those stories matter.

Real experiences from disabled riders, seniors, commuters, and families affected by this law help lawmakers understand the consequences of the decisions they made.

And now, there is an opportunity for the community to show up together.

A Ride & Rally for a Better E-Bike Law

The New Jersey Bike & Walk Coalition has organized a Ride & Rally for a Better NJ E-Bike Law.

This event is an opportunity for riders and supporters to gather, be visible, and show lawmakers exactly who is affected.

This rally is especially important for:

  • Disabled e-bike and e-trike riders
  • Seniors who rely on low-speed mobility devices
  • Daily riders and commuters
  • Families who depend on e-bikes for transportation and independence
  • Anyone who supports practical and fair e-bike regulation

Event Details

  • Date: Thursday, May 20
  • Time: 10:30 AM to approximately 1:30 PM
  • Meeting Location: Mill Hill Park, Trenton

Participants will gather at the park before taking a short ride to the Capitol steps.

For those who do not ride, walking participants are welcome too.

Press, speakers, advocates, and lawmakers are expected to attend.

Registration is required, and attendees must sign a waiver before participating.

Why Visibility Matters

This is about being seen.

Disabled riders, throttle users, pedal-assist riders, seniors, and families affected by this law deserve to be visible to lawmakers.

Seeing real people and hearing real stories can change conversations in ways that emails and statistics sometimes cannot.

The hope is simple: help legislators understand who this law has affected, why it matters, and why change is needed.

If you have been asking, “What can I do?”

This is something you can do.
