The NJ E-Bike Law: Day 35 – Urgent Call to Carteret, Linden & Woodbridge
Share
This is an urgent call to specific communities.
If you are a disabled rider — or a rider negatively affected by the New Jersey e-bike law — and you live in Carteret, Linden, or Woodbridge, I need to hear from you.
Why These Towns?
Right now, it is critical that we gather real stories from real residents in these areas.
Legislative change does not happen in a vacuum. Lawmakers respond to data, but they also respond to lived experiences from their own constituents.
If this law has impacted your ability to ride, commute, work, or maintain independence, your voice matters.
Disabled Riders, Your Stories Are Essential
We are continuing to advocate for amendments and carve-outs that protect disabled riders who rely on low-speed e-bikes and e-trikes for mobility.
But advocacy is strongest when it includes direct testimony from those affected.
If you are in Carteret, Linden, or Woodbridge and this law has negatively impacted you, please reach out and share your experience.
Bike Shops in These Areas
If you operate a bike shop in any of these towns, I would also like to connect with you.
Small businesses are part of this conversation, and your perspective on how this law is affecting sales, rentals, service, and customer confidence is important.
Time Matters
We are still within a window where feedback can influence how this law evolves.
The more specific and localized the feedback, the stronger the case becomes for reasonable amendments.
Please reach out as soon as possible.
